It was a good run, but the Walton Raiders unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 64-50 bruising from Lassiter. Walton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lassiter apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Friday.
Lassiter had a senior duo take command as Jaden Emmanuelli scored 23 points along with four steals and Aidyn Davis scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. The contest was Davis' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Venuti, who scored five points.
Walton's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-3. As for Lassiter, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4.
Walton will be playing at home against Cherokee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Cherokee's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matchups. As for Lassiter, they will head out on the road to face off against Sprayberry at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sprayberry has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
