This season hasn't been kind to the Addison Bulldogs, who are still winless after their eighth game. They took a serious blow against Winston County on Friday, falling 71-32. Addison was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Winston County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Winston County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lynleigh Cobb, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 10 rebounds. Cobb is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emma Kate Veal, who went 7 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 3 assists.
Addison's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Winston County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Addison will square off against St. Bernard Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winston County, they will head out on the road to face off against Sumiton Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
