After flying high against Portage Christian last Monday, HomeSchool Resource Center came back down to earth. The HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots fell to the Calumet Christian Patriots 60-54. HomeSchool Resource Center was up 39-25 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.
Despite the loss, HomeSchool Resource Center saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noel Green dropped a triple-double with 24 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals. That was a full 44.4% of HomeSchool Resource Center's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deuce Johnson, who put up 13 points and four steals.
Even though they lost, HomeSchool Resource Center smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive games.
