Summit extended the longest winning streak in Mid-State 38 - Raritan this week by beating Abraham Clark, 27-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Hilltoppers.
Cranford and Scotch Plains-Fanwood played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Cranford eventually emerging with a 26-20 victory. Reggie Green threw for 92 yards and one touchdown and ran for 208 yards in the win.
The Cougars' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver.
Chris Folinusz was the best wideout in the league this week as Cranford bested the Raiders. Folinusz racked up three receptions for 92 yards.
The Rams' Tyrone Crutchfield and James Womble have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Mid-State 38 - Raritan in both passing and receiving yards. Crutchfield has thrown for 558 yards this season, while Womble, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 14 catches for 194 yards. The Cougars' Green leads the league in rushing yards with 971.
Green of the Cranford is only 29 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when North Plainfield takes on Delaware Valley. As it stands, the Canucks are in fifth, while the Terriers are in fourth.
Delaware Valley led the league in scoring this week after putting up 41 points on Somerville. Andrew Cooper threw for 18 yards and ran for 105 yards in the win.
