Union (Rimersburg, Pa.) defeated
Punxsutawney (Pa.) 21-6 on Saturday.
After trailing 6-0 at the half, the Chucks went ahead on a touchdown run by Bush with 8:00 remaining in the third. Union finally took the lead for good as McGregor ran for a touchdown with 7:00 to go in the third quarter.
UHS expanded its lead to eight points entering the fourth quarter. The Rimersburg school scored two times in the third, including once on a McGregor touchdown run.
The Knights/Damsels' standout player in the win was Vanderbilt. The junior tight end kicked one extra point.
Punxsutawney's Bush was the standout player for his team. The senior ran for one touchdown.
PHS's lone touchdown came on a 14-yard run by Bush in the third quarter.
The loss comes after Punxsutawney defeated Brookville 26-23 last week.
In a Keystone Shortway - Small game next week Union (2-0) takes on Redbank Valley, and Punxsutawney (1-1) will go up against DuBois in a non-conference game.
