South Medford scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Roseburg, 31-21. At the time, the Indians were ranked 12th in the state, while the Panthers were 64th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to South Medford, who defeated 12th ranked Roseburg, 31-21.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Crater's Fox and Bennett have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Fox has thrown for 1,844 yards this season, while Bennett has 32 catches for 539 yards. Roy Jackson from the Colts leads the league in rushing with 642 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Sheldon and Thurman Bell's team. Lane Johnson's team enters the contest ranked seventh in the state, while the Indians ranks 19th.
John Beck's team's Fox is within 156 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Thurston.
The Irish's offense has scored 199 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Roseburg has allowed only 117 on the year.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Sheldon takes on the Indians. The Irish have allowed 140 points this season, while Roseburg has given up 117. Sheldon allowed 24 points last week as it beat the Comets.
The Black Tornado added to the longest winning streak in 6A Special District 1 this week by beating Justin Starck's team, 38-32. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
