Rubidoux is 0-5 against Ramona since February of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Falcons will look to defend their home field against the Rams at 3:15 p.m. Rubidoux has given up an average of 14.6 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Rubidoux lost 17-4 to Norte Vista on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly 13 runs.
Anna Hernandez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Julianna Chavez, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Ramona put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Jurupa Valley. The Rams were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Jaguars. With that win, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Not much got past Jacqueline Gonzalez, who gave up just four hits to keep Jurupa Valley off the board.
On the hitting side, Ramona got a big performance out of Emily Gonzalez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Desi Smith was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Ramona kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.
Ramona has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Rubidoux, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Rubidoux hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .368. However, it's not like Ramona struggles in that department as they've averaged .344. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Rubidoux might still be hurting after the 23-0 loss they got from Ramona when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Will the Falcons have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
