The Winfield Generals will head out on the road to face off against the St. Joseph Central Irish at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Winfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Winfield came up short against Robert C. Byrd and fell 46-34.
Winfield's defeat came about despite a quality game from Antonela Johnson, who scored 10 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlee Johnson, who scored 2 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 49-45 to Sissonville.
Winfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Joseph Central, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
