The biggest upset of the week belonged to Paonia, who defeated 74th ranked Hotchkiss, 21-0. Taylor Walters ran for 176 yards during the win.
The Eagles extended the longest winning streak in 1A Western Slope this week by beating the Bulldogs, 21-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for Paonia.
Devan Rupe was a key player and the best on defense this week as Hotchkiss lost to Brent McRae's team. He recorded 1 fumble.
Trent Walker threw for 206 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was 9-15 with 0 interceptions.
Walters was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 176 yards on 27 carries as the Eagles bested Lake County. Will Austin also contributed to the rushing game with 89 yards on the ground.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Ward. The Cedaredge star has 25 catches for 390 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Paonia takes on the Bruins. At the moment, the Eagles are in first, while Cedaredge is in third.
The Panthers fell to Brandon Milholland's team 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
