Basketball Recap: Basile Comes Up Short

After soaring to 56 points the game before, Basile was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were outmatched by the LaGrange Gators and fell 64-20. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Gators are ranked 102nd).

With the defeat, Basile broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-6. As for LaGrange, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Basile has already played their next match, a 40-32 win against Comeaux on the 28th. As for LaGrange, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 37-31 victory against Brusly on the 28th.
