The Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors were the 54-33 winner over the Tabernacle Torches when they last played one another back in January of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Tuscaloosa Home Educators fell 43-35 to Tabernacle on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Tuscaloosa Home Educators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while Tabernacle is ranked 119th).
Despite the defeat, Tuscaloosa Home Educators had strong showings from Eliana Miller, who scored 15 points, and Lanie Westerberg, who scored 13 points. Miller continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Esther Miller was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Tuscaloosa Home Educators' loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-6. As for Tabernacle, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Tuscaloosa Home Educators will head out on the road to face off against East Central HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Central HomeSchool is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55 points per game. Tabernacle will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cornerstone Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
