The Big Spring Steers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Snyder on the road and fell 78-30. Big Spring has struggled against Snyder recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Snyder to victory were Jayci Medrano and Neveah Torres. Medrano scored ten points along with five assists and five steals, while Torres scored 12 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Torres has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Avery Murray, who scored nine points.
Big Spring bumped their record down to 1-19 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.0 points per game. As for Snyder, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-15 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Big Spring will take on Lake View at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake View comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Snyder, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sweetwater at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
