North Valley came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past the Phoenix Pirates 8-6. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by exactly two runs.

North Valley pushed their record up to 10-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Phoenix, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-6.

North Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Phoenix, they will venture away from home to take on Hidden Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season.
