Pisgah is a perfect 3-0 against St. Andrew's Episcopal since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Pisgah will face off against St. Andrew's Episcopal at 4:00 p.m. Pisgah will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Pisgah had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt West Lincoln on Friday. Pisgah blew past West Lincoln 11-0. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Ally Young made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Madysen Washington and Alex Holeman did most of the damage at the plate: Washington scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Holeman scored two runs while going 2-for-4. What's more, Washington posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brooke Cooper, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI.
Pisgah hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, St. Andrew's Episcopal fell victim to Puckett and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wolves, falling 18-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Saints in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost three in a row.
Pisgah's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Pisgah took their victory against St. Andrew's Episcopal when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0. Will Pisgah repeat their success, or does St. Andrew's Episcopal has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
