The Evansville Reitz Panthers had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grafton on Saturday.
Evansville Reitz's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaylan Mitchell, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayce Swanson, who scored 16 points.
Evansville Reitz's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Grafton, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Evansville Reitz will look to defend their home court on Friday against Vincennes Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Vincennes Lincoln focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Saturday. As for Grafton, they will head out on the road to face off against Milwaukee Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
