The Monticello Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 45-27 victory over Goshen Central. The win was just what Monticello needed coming off of a 37-14 defeat in their prior match.
Monticello can attribute much of their success to Amiah Neails, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Neails has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Velasquez, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Monticello's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Goshen Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monticello will take on Valley Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Goshen Central, they will be playing at home against Cornwall Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
