Bennington is 10-0 against Ell-Saline since December of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Bennington Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Ell-Saline Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Last Friday, Bennington sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 win over Remington. Given Bennington's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Remington is ranked 162nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bennington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Lawson, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds. Lawson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Talan Pickering, who scored nine points along with six steals.
In what's become a running theme this season, Ell-Saline gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 63-27 win over Marion at home.
Bennington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Ell-Saline, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
Bennington came out on top in a nail-biter against Ell-Saline in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, sneaking past 60-58. Does Bennington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ell-Saline turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
