Even though the Pacifica Tritons scored an imposing 70 points on Saturday, the Newbury Park Panthers still came out on top. Newbury Park took their matchup against Pacifica 77-70. The win was nothing new for Newbury Park as they're now sitting on four straight.
Pacifica's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Steven Pillado, who scored 28 points, and Isaiah Dillon who scored 21 points along with 9 assists. The contest was Dillon's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Miranda, who scored 11 points.
Newbury Park's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Pacifica, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newbury Park will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Moorpark at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. As for Pacifica, they will face off against Santa Barbara at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
