6A Three Rivers recap Nov. 7, 2012
Clackamas's Dan Sherrell rumbled for the longest rushing play in 6A Three Rivers this season in his game against North Medford last week. Sherrell's team defeated the Black Tornado as he sprinted for 80 yards on the play and finished with 302 in all.
Lakeridge and Lincoln played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Lakeridge eventually emerging with a 21-17 victory.
Clackamas' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Doonie Johnson threw for 174 and three touchdowns and Jocob Iverson had 53 yards receiving. Erick Douglass helped Clackamas' passing attack out by catching five balls for 47 yards.
6-foot-4 quarterback Eric Dungey of the Pacers is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1692. He has also thrown 17 touchdowns. On the ground, Joe Bushman's team's Sherrell has rushed for 1964 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Douglass. The Clackamas star has 58 catches for 630 yards.
West Linn took down McKay 61-27 last week, the largest margin of any game.
