The East Pennsboro Panthers fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Boiling Springs Bubblers on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bubblers. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Boiling Springs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Ascione, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Logan Fassl, who scored 16 points.
East Pennsboro's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Boiling Springs, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Pennsboro will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Middletown at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Boiling Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Bermudian Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
