Griego Trel was his usual excellent self, throwing for 410 yards and five touchdowns. Beck Michael did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 182 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, La Cueva had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.7 points), and they went ahead and made it seven two weeks ago. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 63-28 win over Farmington. La Cueva might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven games by 28 points or more this season.
Cameron Dyer had a dynamite game for La Cueva, rushing for 117 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 332 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt. Dyer hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for five straight games. Tanner Montano was another key contributor, gaining 161 total yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was La Cueva's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Waylon Sanchez was the leader with two sacks.
Farmington now has a winning record of 6-5. As for La Cueva, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.
