The St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats are on the road again on Wednesday and plays the Washington County Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on February 7th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only St. Luke's Episcopal walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs on Monday as they made off with a 45-24 victory. The win was just what St. Luke's Episcopal needed coming off of a 70-41 defeat in their prior game.
Kalaysia Robinson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Logan Stephenson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, Washington County put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 61-20 win over Millry at home. Washington County has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 25 points or more this season.
St. Luke's Episcopal's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Washington County, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-0.
