The Ukiah Wildcats will take on the Montgomery Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ukiah is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.
Ukiah is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Piner just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Prospectors by a score of 7-6.

Taylor Allen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Adyson Baarsch made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Dana Cabada was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Montgomery sidestepped Healdsburg for a 10-8 win. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Greyhounds recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Montgomery let Siena Quattrocchi and Lily Lorenz run wild. Quattrocchi went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Lorenz went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits Quattrocchi has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Kalee Murray, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Montgomery hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Healdsburg struck out nine times.
Ukiah's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Montgomery, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Ukiah has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .515. However, it's not like Montgomery struggles in that department as they've averaged .533. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
