Sharyland extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 19-5-2 in the process. They came out on top against the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines by a score of 6-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on Tuesday.

Roy Rodriguez looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Nic Valdez was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Luis Balderas, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

On Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial's side, Jacob Tovar spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on six hits.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rattlers 2.2, the Raiders 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial will face off against rival Rowe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
