The Huntington Red Devils will take on the Diboll Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Diboll will be up against a hot Huntington team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Red Devils blew past Newton 18-2 on Tuesday. The Red Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Evan Aldava was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Diboll, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on Pollok Central with a sharp 8-2 victory on Tuesday.
The team relied heavily on Emelio Lopez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Xander Arambula, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Diboll's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Huntington, their victory bumped their record up to 18-7.
Everything went Huntington's way against Diboll in their previous meeting back in March, as Huntington made off with a 13-2 win. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lumberjacks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
