The Ellis Railroaders will head out to  take on the Hill City Ringnecks  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  point totals in their previous games.
 Ellis is headed out to face Hill City after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Ellis snuck past Lincoln with  a  48-44 victory on Friday.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ellis to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Carson Schartz, who rushed for 175 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in  rushing yards.  Trenton Schartz was another key rusher, rushing for 36 yards and a touchdown.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Ellis' defensive line and their three sacks. Leading the way was  Toby Honas and his two.
 Meanwhile, Hill City had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Trego 50-20 on the road.
 Hill City's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of  Tyler Ashbaugh and  Dayton Stephen. Stephen was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 67 yards.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hill City was moving up and down the field and  finished the game with 414  total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trego only gained 244.
