On Thursday McDonogh 35 take on Cox at 6:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close match.
The struggle was real when McDonogh 35 and East St. John clashed last week, but McDonogh 35 ultimately edged out the opposition 16-14.
Cox had a rough outing against St. Amant two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Everything went Cox's way against Wright as they made off with a 40-19 victory.
Their wins bumped Cox to 3-1 and McDonogh 35 to 2-2. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Cox and McDonogh 35 clash.
