After flying high against the Holt Ironmen on Tuesday, the Brookwood Panthers came back down to earth. Brookwood took a serious blow against Hueytown on Friday, falling 75-31. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brookwood in their matchups with Hueytown: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the loss, Brookwood had strong showings from Kaleb Wise, who scored seven points, and Caden Channell, who scored five points.
Leading Hueytown to victory were Tyler Agee and Braylon Patton. Agee scored 17 points, while Patton scored 19 points. The matchup was Patton's 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Derryck Patton, who scored ten points.
Brookwood bumped their record down to 2-11 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hueytown, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.
