With a playoff win on the line, Santa Rosa Academy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They never let the Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School Mustangs get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The Rangers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Maxwell Dupree was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Santa Rosa Academy is 5-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 7-10 otherwise. Dupree was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

In other batting news, Santa Rosa Academy got a massive performance out of Luke Hamilton, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs. Hamilton has become a key player for the Rangers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 8-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cole Ulrick, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

The win got Santa Rosa Academy back to even at 12-12. As for Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Santa Rosa Academy will challenge Nuview Bridge at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as the Rangers come in on four and the Knights on three. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
