McLean was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Varsity Opponent apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2018.
McLean's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nathan Galeone, who scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Eros Marchello, who scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
McLean now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Varsity Opponent, they pushed their record up to 54-241-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McLean will play host again and welcome Smith Jewish Day School, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will be playing at home against White Creek Christian Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
