Paris scaled the state rankings by moving to 319 from 395 this week, the biggest jump in Apollo. The Tigers were able to make move up by besting Watseka 14-8.
Salem lost to Central 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Chris Woods ran for 78 yards in the loss.
Myles Decker was a passing and rushing force as Charleston fell to Massac County.
Decker was a force in the backfield as the Trojans fell to the Patriots.
Evan Maxey was the best wideout in the league this week as Salem lost to the Comets. Maxey racked up 3 receptions for 13 yards.
Decker was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 41 carries, he ran for 246 yards as Charleston fell to Central. Teammate Trevor Gibson added to the ground attack by rushing for 32 yards.
Mt. Zion's 6-foot-3 quarterback Payton Grinestaff is the league leader in passing yards this season with 178. The leading receiver in the league this season is Maxey. The Salem star has 5 catches for 52 yards.
Paris made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,744 from 10,811. The improvement came about via a 14-8 victory over the Warriors last week.
