Lawrence County has gone a perfect 5-0 against Decatur recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Red Devils will face off against the Red Raiders at 9:00 a.m. Lawrence County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Lawrence County didn't have quite enough to beat Loretto and fell 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Lawrence County sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 18-25, 15-8.

Meanwhile, Decatur came up short against Muscle Shoals on Tuesday and fell 3-1. While the Red Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 25-16 in the first set.

Decatur started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-18.

Lawrence County will have to contain Virginia Pylant as she made an impact in Decatur's last game. She had 23 digs and two assists. With that strong performance, Pylant is now averaging an impressive 10.4 digs per game.

Decatur's defeat dropped their record down to 13-20. As for Lawrence County, their loss dropped their record down to 20-19.

Lawrence County was able to grind out a solid victory over Decatur in their previous meeting back in October of 2023, winning 2-0. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Red Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
