The Hot Springs Bison had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 37-29 to Hay Springs on Friday. Hot Springs lost against Hay Springs in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-44 score last time.
Hay Springs' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mya Turman, who scored 15 points along with 4 steals. The contest was Turman's third in a row with at least ten points. Gabby Twarling was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Hot Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Hay Springs, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 3-1 record.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hot Springs will take on Alliance at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hay Springs, they will be playing at home against Bridgeport on Saturday. Bridgeport will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
