If The Hahnville Tigers were riding high off their 42-13 takedown of the Central Lafourche Trojans last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hahnville lost to Terrebonne on the road by a decisive 45-28 margin on Friday. Hahnville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Terrebonne apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Jayce Johnson was on fire for Terrebonne: he rushed for 282 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry.
Hahnville's defeat was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-1 Newman and 13-2 Ruston (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 75.1% over those games). As for Terrebonne, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Hahnville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Terrebonne will head out on the road to face off against Westgate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Westgate is ranked 45th, while Terrebonne is ranked 67th).
