The Childress Bobcats will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Graham Steers at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Childress focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday.
Childress fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 44-26 victory over Roosevelt.
Childress' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Neeley Oldham, who scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Kar'Leigh Husband was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Graham was beaten by Maypearl 59-14 on December 9th. Graham has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Childress' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-15. As for Graham, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
Childress came up short against Graham when the teams last played back in November, falling 32-28. Can Childress avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
