The team relied heavily on Olivia Masoner, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Elza, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Barberton waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Cardinals.
University's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Barberton, their win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-0.
