After five games on the road, Robinson is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the East Rowan Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Robinson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully East Rowan likes a good challenge.
Robinson scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past South Rowan 87-48 on the road. That 87-48 margin sets a new team best for Robinson this season.
Londen Roseman was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points. The contest was Roseman's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Da'montre Harlee was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to East Rowan, who are still winless after their sixth match. They took a serious blow against West Rowan on Friday, falling 71-42. While losing is never fun, East Rowan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 592nd, while West Rowan is ranked 104th).
East Rowan's loss came about despite a quality game from Jaden Reid, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Reid also pulled down eight+ rebounds for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Billy Chesney, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Robinson now has a winning record of 3-2. As for East Rowan, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Robinson hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 62.8 points per game. It's a different story for East Rowan, though, as they've been averaging only 52.3 points per game. The only thing between Robinson and another offensive beatdown is East Rowan. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Robinson beat East Rowan 80-73 in their previous matchup back in January of 2020. Does Robinson have another victory up their sleeve, or will East Rowan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
