Muncie Central was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight  defeat. They suffered a  rough 23-1 loss at the hands of the Yorktown Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Muncie Central of the  21-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2021.
 For Yorktown's part,  Alexis Fields and  Rylie Perkins made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing,  Fields   struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Perkins   tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. At bat,  Fields  went 4-for-4 with four  RBI and two  doubles, while  Perkins  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  Olivia Jaromin was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances.  Claire Hazen was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances.
 Muncie Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Yorktown, they now  have a winning record of 2-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Muncie Central will take on Lapel at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Yorktown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Palestine at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
