The Middleton Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Clarksburg 75-37 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-17.
Middleton found their leader in underclassman Kemora Buggs, who scored 17 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Buggs continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ro'naia Talley, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Middleton pushed their record up to 13-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Clarksburg, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Middleton will take on the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bradford comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Clarksburg, they will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Tennessee (Halls is ranked 351st, while the Rockets are ranked 346th).
