After two games on the road, New Life Camp is heading back home. They will take on the Oak Forest Warriors at TBD on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, New Life Camp didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Greenfield, but they still walked away with a 52-48 win. Given New Life Camp's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Greenfield is ranked 367th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
New Life Camp got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caroline Brown out in front who scored 15 points along with 4 steals. Julia Edwards was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Oak Forest beat South Wake 43-36 on Friday.
New Life Camp pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Oak Forest, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
New Life Camp skirted past Oak Forest 51-48 in their previous meeting back in March. Does New Life Camp have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oak Forest turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
