Newberry won the last time they faced Pelion and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 5-2 win. Newberry might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by three goals or more this season.

Emily Benitez and Frida Aguilar scored all five of Newberry's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Newberry pushed their record up to 10-7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three matches. As for Pelion, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Looking ahead, Newberry will be playing at home against Fairfield Central at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Newberry are facing Fairfield Central at the right time seeing as Fairfield Central are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. Pelion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
