Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carrollton). They put the hurt on the North Greene Spartans with a sharp 27-0 victory on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Hannah Uhles and Brookelyn Eilerman made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Uhles tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Eilerman pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Uhles has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances. At bat, Uhles went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and four RBI, while Eilerman scored a run while going 2-for-4. Those five hits gave Uhles a new career-high.
