The Indiana Christian Academy Whirlwinds won the last time they faced Suburban Christian, and things went their way on Friday too. Indiana Christian Academy came out on top against Suburban Christian by a score of 53-44.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indiana Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sawyer Tipton, who scored 21 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Plew, who scored 12 points along with four blocks.
Despite the loss, Suburban Christian saw an underclassman step up: Chad Glover scored 19 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Glover has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tim Poynter, who scored eight points along with four steals and two blocks.
Indiana Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Suburban Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Legacy Elite Academy the next time they take the court. Indiana Christian Academy will head out to face Legacy Elite Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Suburban Christian will host them at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
