Basketball Recap: Grand Saline Has No Trouble Against New Diana

Grand Saline won the last time they faced New Diana and things went their way on Saturday too. The Grand Saline Indians strolled past the New Diana Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 41-22. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Despite the defeat, New Diana had strong showings from Bailey Tennimon, who posted a point and three steals, and Sawyer Stapleton, who put up two points.

Grand Saline's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for New Diana, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Grand Saline will venture away from home to take on Edgewood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Diana, they will face off against Grace Community at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace Community will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something New Diana surely won't give up without a fight.
