Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Staples couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 67-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Bernard Saints on Thursday. The Wreckers' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Staples had strong showings from Dhilan Lowman, who went 5-for-8 en route to 15 points, and Adam Udell, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine assists. The matchup was Udell's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Mason Tobias was another key player, putting up eight points.

Staples' defeat dropped their record down to 22-4. As for St. Bernard, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.
