The Holton Wildcats will face off against the Frontenac Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Holton comes in on three and Frontenac on nine.
Holton extended their postseason success on Friday against Wellsville. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 21-13. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but Holton was the (much) better team in the second half.
Abbott Hundley was his usual excellent self, rushing for 134 yards and a touchdown. Hundley is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Cael Frazier also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Frontenac had just enough and edged Burlington out 15-12 on Friday.
Their wins bumped Holton to 6-4 and Frontenac to 9-1.
Things could have been worse for Holton, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 32-13 loss to Frontenac in their previous meeting back in November of 2021. Can Holton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
