The Tabiona Tigers will face off against the Whitehorse Raiders at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Tabiona's tournament run continued when they took on Tintic last Saturday. Tabiona came out on top against Tintic by a score of 59-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Tabiona had a senior duo take command as Gavin Rhoades dropped a double-double with 21 points and 13 boards and Bryson Fabrizio went 7-for-17 to rack up 18 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Rhoades is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Cayse Thomas was another key player, putting up six points.
Tabiona smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Whitehorse had no trouble coming through when it counted. They claimed a resounding 100-33 win over Monument Valley. The Raiders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Whitehorse found their leader in freshman Hyatt Thomas, who posted 30 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thomas has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalin Tohonnie, who put up 13 points.
Tabiona's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Whitehorse, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Tabiona hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 59.6 points per game. However, it's not like Whitehorse struggles in that department as they've been averaging 59.1 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Tabiona strolled past Whitehorse in their previous meeting back in December of 2021 by a score of 60-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tabiona since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
