Barron Collier was led to victory by Gabe Markhart and Spencer Clayton. Markhart dropped a double-double on 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Clayton scored 20 points along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Markhart has scored at least 25% of Barron Collier's points. Another player making a difference was Nick Degnan, who scored 12 points.
Golden Gate's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Barron Collier, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Golden Gate will face off against Bradenton Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
