The Gowanda Panthers lost against the Frewsburg Bears back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Gowanda took a serious blow against Frewsburg, falling 84-26. Gowanda was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-18.
Jadyn Trocki continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Frewsburg, scoring 25 points along with eight steals. Trocki hasn't dropped below 15points for six straight games. Teghan Trocki was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Gowanda's loss was their 12th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-2. As for Frewsburg, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gowanda on the road again on Friday and play against Randolph at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Randolph focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday. As for Frewsburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Cassadaga Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cassadaga Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 379th, while Frewsburg is ranked 51st).
