Lafayette managed to slip by DuPont Manual the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Generals lost 3-0 to the Crimsons on Tuesday. The Generals' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Lafayette ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 25-17.

Audrey Gossett paced Lafayette's offense, picking up nine kills. Gossett got some help from Elise Trimble and her 18 assists. Carli Dotson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 17-14. As for DuPont Manual, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-13.

Lafayette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Scott County on the 15th. As for DuPont Manual, they will square off against Assumption at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
